  • Growing up I was always into several different nerdy and fandom-related interests. When I’m not in the therapist’s chair I love reading books, playing video games and TTRPGs, watching historical dramas, visiting the local anime conventions, and spending time with my partner and our dog, Aubrey.

  • My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that trauma and systemic oppression often impact our ability to connect with ourselves and the community around us. These experiences may leave us in a wake of confusion, anger, and hopelessness. As your therapist, it is my aim to collaborate with you, the expert of your lived experience, in a compassionate and curious environment. Although the journey of self-improvement is complex and vulnerable, it is my privilege to help meet you where you are and hold the space to facilitate personal growth and discovery.

  • As a trans woman and a counselor, I truly understand the importance of being able to work with a counselor who can understand your experiences. I believe that being open about my identity is an essential part of helping others to feel comfortable with themselves. When I’m not seeing clients, I spend my time writing, playing board games & table top role playing games (TTRPG’s), engaging with the local trans community, and spending time with my partners.

  • You don’t have to navigate this alone. Whether you’re exploring your gender identity, managing the challenges of chronic illness, healing from trauma, or working through substance use, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, compassion, and respect. I believe that no one exists in a vacuum, and that the systems we live in matter. My practice is rooted in queer and feminist theory, and I approach therapy with a trauma-informed, collaborative lens.

I believe that trans people deserve trans counselors. As your counselor I will be open about my identity, so that you can have the space to be open about yours. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, those navigating gender identity, individuals in the polyamorous and kink communities, and people living with chronic illness or substance use concerns. My style is nonjudgmental and affirming. I take your thoughts and experiences seriously, and I want therapy to feel like a space where you’re fully seen and heard.

Using a foundation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), especially distress tolerance work, I aim to help you build coping tools while also honoring your broader life context. As your counselor, we’ll explore how to move through pain, cultivate insight, and reconnect with your agency.

  • I have struggled with my own hardships in life and decided to use what I learned from these hardships to help others who may also be struggling. I thrust myself into the counseling world and could not be more delighted to be here. A little about me is that I love playing video games, finding new movies to watch, reading, and traveling. I also enjoy spending my free time with my dog, two cats, fiance and my friends when I have the time. I’m a big music buff so I also enjoy finding new music and artists to listen to.

I graduated from the University of North Georgia with my bachelors in psychology and eventually received my Masters of Arts in mental health counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I try to attend weekly gaming sessions with my friends and love experimenting in photoshop.

  • Sometimes it can be hard to ask for help in today’s fast-paced society. We can feel like there is nowhere to go and no one to reach out to and eventually become discouraged in our journey and growth as individuals. We may seem like we are expected to have all the answers within ourselves, and these answers may be hard to come by. Having an ear to listen and guide you through the motions, thoughts, and negativity can be exceptional in the process of growth and healing.

I am a dedicated and compassionate counselor who strives to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward personal growth. With a foundation in a person-centered approach, I emphasize the importance of genuine connection in the counseling process.

I work with depression/anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, and LGBTQ+ clients. I value inclusivity and tailor support to each person's unique experience. I see counseling as a partnership where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to pursue their goals. Please don’t hesitate to contact me to get started!

  • During my career in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of gaining experience by working with a variety of different populations in variety of different settings including an inpatient treatment facility, non-profit agency, career counseling center, trauma specialty treatment program, and currently private practice.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques based on the needs of each individual, with a specialized focus on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Play Therapy for children.

I believe in working collaboratively with clients in order to promote positive change by helping them to understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how to gain control over them, taking back their power.

When I am not helping others facilitate positive change, l enjoy traveling, college football, and most importantly, spending time with my family which includes my beloved English Bulldog, Chubb.

"It is hard to be happy without a life worth living. This is a fundamental tenet of DBT. Of course, all lives are worth living in reality. No life is not worth living. But what is important is that you experience your life as worth living-one that is satisfying, and one that brings happiness."
-Marsha M. Linehan, Creator of DBT

  • “You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” – Navigating today’s world can be overwhelming for both adults and children. We all face challenges that lead to intense emotions and struggles, affecting individuals and families alike. The good news is: change is possible, and no one has to face these challenges alone! Whether you're a parent or navigating your own emotions, learning to manage feelings is key. It’s a skill that helps build resilience for life’s ups and downs. Emotions are powerful, but so are you—together, we can learn to ride the waves!

As an intensively trained DBT therapist, rather than focusing on "fixing" behaviors, I help clients understand why they feel the way they do, giving them the tools to regulate their emotions instead of being controlled by them. Many people of all ages find this hands-on approach of DBT empowering, as it helps them feel more in control and confident in managing their emotions. In addition to DBT, I utilize CBT, Trauma-Focused, and a variety of other therapies and utilize a combination of approaches to best fit the client's needs.

I specialize in working with children, teens, college students, and young adults, and I help clients of all ages facing a wide variety of issues and mental health concerns. My personal experience drives my passion in the field and allows me to connect deeply with and better understand clients.

My goal as a counselor is to create a safe and supportive environment where a person can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and gain the confidence to face life’s challenges. My aim is not just to help individuals cope with their current struggles, but to equip them with the tools they need for a healthier, more fulfilling life. It is an honor for me to be part of an individual’s journey toward emotional resilience and self-discovery.

If you’re a parent seeking support for your child or teens, or an adult seeking help navigating their struggle, I encourage you to come just as you are in your healing journey. You have the power to rewrite your story, and we’ll walk that path together. I am honored to be part of your journey toward emotional resilience and self-discovery!

  • First and foremost I’m a major nerd. I love TTRPGs, videogames, sci-fi, and fantasy. I’m such a nerd that I got certified in how to use TTRPGs in the therapy space.  I have four wonderful cats that I call my children and a partner who I love spending time with. I spend my free time learning new languages, binge watching TV shows, playing videogames, playing TTRPGs with my friends, writing, and reading.

  • My therapeutic approach is to understand the whole person. Past experiences, relationships, hobbies, strengths, and identity all make up the person sitting in both the therapist chair and the therapist’s couch and it’s vital to know what’s important to the person I’m working with as well as what they may be struggling with. You may be struggling with mental health struggles, addiction, or identity issues, but that’s not all you are. Each person is an individual with strengths and it’s vital to help you identify them and use them to overcome your struggles.

I believe you are the driver in this process and I am simply there to offer different routes to reach your destination. Each person needs a personalized approach to help them meet their goals and there’s no one size fits all therapy which is why I collaborate with you to identify your goals and create a plan for how to get there. My evidence-based approaches can be tailored to meet you where you’re at right now and get you to where you want to be in the future. My foundation is in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Brainspotting to help you work through your trauma and increase distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal communication skills.

I applaud you for asking for help as I know it’s not always easy. I hope to take you from point A to point Z, not just point B. I want you to have the opportunity to grow as much as possible from our time together and will put in 110% in helping you get there.

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
